About fuckin' time.

The UN Regulations, used everywhere in the world except the US* regulatory island, have had increasingly-stringent pedestrian-protection requirements for years.

NHTSA claim the proposed US rule is estra-stringent, but they also insist, pull the string and listen to 'em go, with zero basis in reality, that US-spec vehicles are the safest in the world.

*Canada is handcuffed, by industry insistence, to the US rules.
