I recently heard about DHT support on I2Psnark, and got curious whether qBittorrent supports this feature on I2P as well. When I first set up qBittorrent to work with I2P, the guide I used instructed to disable DHT, PeX and Local Peer Discovery due to lacking support and security risks. Has anything changed? Is libtorrent still lagging behind on these features?

nothing has changed, qbittorrent doesn't yet support i2p's dht. snark and bigly bt are the only two that do at the moment.

there are open trackers in i2p that can help with peer discovery so in most cases it's a non-issue but i hope libtorrent supports it soon. I ended up switching to bigly bt in part because of this, it's a beefy client with a lot of options but it's i2p support is solid.

Thank you for the answer! I will likely stick with qBittorrent and wait until it receives support. It works well enough as-is, anyways

BiglyBT is okay but as you said somewhat of a hog, unfortunately it just didn't recognize my torrents one day. Switched to qBittorrent since then. Initially used Bigly because they were the first to implement the v2 spec.
