I saw the Pitch Meeting take on it. Does that count?
I saw a Lemmy comment summarizing it in like 5 sentences and honestly that felt like watching it to.
What a garbage twist and plot.
I dunno, I bet it'd be OK as background if you turned the sound off and just played NIN's "Ghosts" instead. Wait no I take it back, those actors just plain look annoying.
Not even that would tempt me to rewatch it.
This remake just made me wonder if the original source material is even any good. It's not just the way they are filmed; the story itself kinda sucks.
I didn't see the original until about a year ago, and I thought it was good but not amazing. I think it was a "time and place" thing, and the style and Brandon Lee legend appealed to a lot of teenaged kids. I suspect the remake just comes across as "trying too hard."
