The joke is that someone is using traditional headphones with a 3.5 mm jack. This confuses the kids, who have never seen anything but AirPods. Their mother sees this and says, "This neighborhood isn't safe," a deliberate exaggeration of the reaction people living in the Apple ecosystem have to traditional headphones.
