Chinese arms companies and banks involved in military aid are subject sanctions. That's why China is mainly limited to supplying dual-use equipment but even that's being reigned in. But nothing is going to stop Russia from going through 2 or 3 shell companies to get what they need, it'll at least cost them more.
But sure let's double down and go off and completely crater US/China trade by trillions in hopes it'll vaguely impact Russia instead of just directly supplying Ukraine the weapons/aid they need until Russia is ready to stop invading them.
They are not going to do that because they don't care. Russians are chilling in dubai next to same western
They aren't going to do that because they aren't stupid. That's immediate global recession and nobody will care about Ukraine at that point.
Ukraine needs weapons to defend itself because Russia keeps attacking them. People who care will give them the aid that they need. Period.
People who don't care will sit around on Lemmy trying to gaslight people that destroying the US and Chinese economy is a feasible option and that it will somehow help Ukraine
