I think this site mentioned in the article deserves more attention - boycottwaterbills.com
Considering we're the ones literally paying for sewage disposal, we shouldn't only stop, but also demand our money back en-masse, since we've clearly not been provided with the service we've paid for.
Never mind those actually getting unsafe water through their taps, they shouldn't be paying anything until it's fixed, and then some, for having to have sewage in their taps.
Money is the only language companies understand.
