Hello knitters! Here's for another version of WIP Wednesday, feel free to reply to this thread with your own Work In Progress.

What project has kept you up past your bedtime this week? As for myself I decided to start a 'quick' project, a headband for a friend who loves red. Pattern is the Thicket Headband by Mirella Moments. I'm loving headbands for quick & easy projects and this is a fun twist to the usual cable design.

Yarn is something my mom had in her stash, it's was the only red-ish yarn I could find but since it was a little too thin for the pattern I decided to knit it double.

It 100% looks way more complicated than it is. It's all just basic techniques, but they come together step-by-step to make this 3d-looking wizardry. And sock patterns don't tend to assume any knowledge, they take you through everything one step at a time. If you can knit and purl and increase and decrease you can make socks.

I use one circular needle rather than DPNs, mostly because I'm cheap and didn't want to buy multiple types of needles in the same size, but you can look up "magic loop" technique and that's what I use.
