Loblaws is out of control

A sub devoted to highlighting the ridiculous cost of living in Canada right now. We’d like to thank our corporate overlord Galen Weston Jr. of Loblaws for continually raising grocery prices so he can get a big fat bonus cheque every year while the rest of Canadians struggle to make ends meet.

Do the same for telecoms now.

I wish people would act the same way about telecom like they currently are with grocery....i get beyond pissed when they come to my door to sell services when EVERY other company is legally banned from door to door sales.

Telecoms are slightly more complicated in that to do so you have to nationalize the base infrastructure and then let mvnos compete on top, there's no economically viable way of building out 10 parallel physical telecom networks here.

Isn't it really strange that our phone/internet infrastructure is privately owned, anyway? How many major highways can you think of that are privately owned? Maybe this is just my prairie perspective speaking, but I can't think of any.

Owned by the province

407 ETR (where most people/the money is) is privately operated

I will make a graph for one! I will post it in c/boycotthebigthree

You can boycott Rogers,Bell and Telus by switching to Lüm mobile, Sasktel, Freedom, Fizz, Videotron, Eastlink, Ecotel, Execulink, Ice, Nexicom, Sogetel, TBayTel, K-net mobile.

Do you have a source for the ban on the door to door sales for the smaller companies? I can’t believe we allowed our politicians to enact that.
