I wish, we'd have laws that say that companies must reasonably ensure that their products/services are in the interest of humanity. Obviously, this would be difficult to judge and might hardly be effective, if it's not connected to massive penalties.
But yeah, just this shit. This company knew that its product would be hugely problematic. Yes, it did also have some benefits for humanity, but no one can argue that the excessiveness with which it was used, was in anyone's interest, except the company's stakeholders.
