Fingerprint scanner not working with 6.1 update (lemmy.ml)

I made the mistake of updating to 6.1 and now my fingerprint scanner doesn't work. I've done a full factory reset of my device and still doesn't work. I'm hoping the May 2024 update fixes it whenever it comes out.

Otherwise Samsung support says I've to send it for repair! Which didn't make sense if it's a software issue

Before sending for repair, try resetting the phone
