I can smell wasps nests. The queen odor is very strong to me. But other smells people notice are lost on me.
And I hear everything. Autism I guess.
Oh yeah? I just made a bird sound. Which bird did imitate?
Bird
Holy shit, it's legit
Within physical bounds of course. Neurotypical people don't notice a lot around them, because their brain filters grey noise out. And yes, it's sometimes overwhelming.
I've only recently realized just how much roads ruin things for me, it becomes absolutely impossible for me to hold a conversation anywhere near a running car.
I could walk next to a highway with a neurotypical person and they just.. don't fucking notice? it's so incredibly strange how they can just tune absolutely anything out and merrily ignore them while i'm unable to hear my own thoughts
Don’t worry, neurotypicals live life on such an easy mode that they invent the most insane problems for themselves as some sort of handicap. It’s so frustrating watching them sometimes. “Wahh I don’t want to commit to my significant other! Wahh I’m bored so I think I’ll do some drugs! UGH my SO bought a $900 TV so I better buy something expensive too to get back at them!”
The fact you missed that I was being sarcastic does corroborate your diagnosis 🙃
Sarcasm and internet does not mix well.
We need a "sarcasm" emoj!
Big Autism is listening you))
Ok so about the hearing thing... I've always assumed I'm somewhere on the spectrum, focus issues etc all the tell tale signs but like at a 2 or 3 tops. However, last like year I've been finding myself awake at night once or twice a week and i swear i can hear the cosmos. Literally every noise everywhere. Is it imagination? Combination?
Oh yeah? I have a model train behind my back, what model is it?
Wait what? My wife can hear the car door closing from the street that's 5 meters from our house, through the closed window and closed door.
