Thank god. Recently ate at a place that in fine print has a 4% surcharge added to the bill. They didn’t cite any reason at all. It’s basically just a way to false advertise lower prices.
I saw a place post a tiny quarter sheet of paper with like size 12 font summary in the corner of the store front. They don't mention it anywhere else, but the POS system still has the tip option for you, ~~and only then do they offer a receipt so you can see that you just paid 20% more~~ Edit: I don't recall if they even offered a receipt
