This is the race qualifier
The sprint one is tomorrow
I thought the sprint was the qualifier for the race. I feel stupid.
Don't worry about it, they're constantly changing everything all the time, it's hard to keep up.
It used to be like that, but now championship points are awarded. I think.
Championship points were always awarded.
Last year they had qualifying for the sprint race and the sprint position determined your grid position for the full race.
This year they have qualifying for the full race, then qualifying for the sprint race and your position in the sprint race has no bearing on the full race.
Itβs like a mini race weekend in the middle of the actual race weekend.
thanks for this. I'm normally up to date with the main rules but for some reason never payed attention to the ones for the sprint.

Dont sweat it, I have no clue whats going on with sprint weekends
tomorrow there's just a mini quali and race that's independent from the normal quali (that we just had) and race (save for the tires used and parts destroyed). Oh and there was just a single free practice instead of 3
