EDIT:
I forgot that Avalanche is a Swedish company, so this means that they are not forming a new union, but the company is signing a collective bargning agreement with existing unions.
Sweden has had stong unions that are sector based, being part of one is completely separate from your place of work.
Oh, and sympathy strikes are completely legal and used here.
Read up on when Toys 'R Us tried to ignore the unions, shit got down.
