OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. — West Virginia State Treasurer Riley Moore visited Wheeling on Thursday morning to participate in Americans for Prosperity's "Prosperity is Possible" roundtable discussion at Oglebay.

Moore was joined by industry leaders, and statewide and local officials.

Topics included discussions on protecting West Virginia's energy jobs from the environmental, social, and governance movement.

"We're talking about also some of the ESG issues environmental, social governance that had been hurting the state of West Virginia as it relates to our energy production here in the state, which is so critical, especially in this part of the state, so couldn't be set in a better location than here in Wheeling,” he said. “We're excited to be able to talk about those issues."

Participants also touched on policies and solutions to overcome economic challenges.

Vote this shortsighted asshole out. What are we going to do? Keep mining until our beautiful state is nothing but a toxic hole in the ground?
