Acrylic paint on canvas.

Was able to create raised texture, I really enjoy that when working with acrylic :) I work without a reference so I just had a quick Google search before starting and then painted off the top of my head, so it might not be accurate @-@

This is great -- it's fun and pleasing to look at. Well done! For me, the most interesting parts are the thick layering of blue to create that impasto effect, and the octopus's arms breaking out of the bounds of the canvas onto the blank void. I like where you're pushing up against the boundaries of how you're conventionally supposed to paint, would love to see more of that if you do this again.

Questions: Why did you Google search before starting this? And do you have any favorite artists / cartoonists / painting styles?
