I think there's a lot more nuance to it than that especially when we're talking about the products of a multi-billion dollar multinational corporation. There's definitely a lot of pandering happening where these companies slap a facade of inclusivity onto a product even when they don't really care either way whether marginalized people have a voice or not. These companies do it because of image and profit not because it makes sense or is the right thing to do.

There is certainly a giant crowd on the right that represent exactly what you're speaking about, but just because they're the bad guys doesn't make Bob Iger or Disney the good guys, nor does it mean there isn't some truth to what's being said.

There's a new show out from Zach Woods and Mike Judge called "In The Know" that does a great job of satirizing this very concept.
