On openSUSE Tumbleweed, there is an xz version
xz-5.6.1.revertto5.4-3.2
available.Thanks kind stranger, updating my systems today.
Edit: looks like my Leap systems are fine. Not sure about the 15.6 beta, but nobody should be using that in production.
