Could it be that becoming wealthy in a non-capitalist state is generally done through means you'd prefer remained under the radar?

Edit: Whoah, whoah, whoah. Comrades, you're missing a clearly mentioned key point. Obviously in a capitalist state you do the same things but don't have to fly under the radar. Fuck everyone else and get away with it, woooooo! It's totally normal. You...didn't understand the part about them trying to leave China too, huh? Well, the aforementioned is a fairly obvious reason for that.

And in capitalist ones too. I don't think I've ever seen a company that wasn't doing illegal shit under the table.

Reminder that the most common form of theft in both quantity and total amount is wage violations (mostly unpaid overtime)

I've got some news for you about capitalist states.

(and a great excuse to post a snippet of a recent favorite album)

So You want to be a millionaire, my bad I mean billionaire

Well hello welcome to the slave trade

Cause exploitation is how Fortunes are made

In your device are minerals from very very far away

Your charmed life and mine are the same cause in mines when it swang

Dark people Hang from the bottom of Supply chains

It gets worse like no treatment for a cancer

Like all societies before us we don't have the answers

The cotton gins and plows became huge excavators

Now slaves dig for batteries for phones and pacemakers

How do you think people become wealthy in a capitalist state? Not, "I can afford a vacation home" wealthy, but "I can afford a private jet and a private pilot" wealthy.

And where is this "non-capitalist" state?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Hang on, I think I read this somewhere... Oh yeah! The post!

China sounds pretty capitalist to me.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Really?

A 75-year old Marxist-Leninist republic led by the Chinese Communist Party founded by Mao motherfucking Zedong sounds capitalist to you?

Pol Pot would blush.

You think the Nazis were socialists too?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Random unrelated question, but okay...

As everyone knows, the Nazi party was ultra nationalist. However, like every other country involved in the war, it had socialist values.

Hitler preached class warfare, agitating the working class to resist "exploitation" by capitalists , particularly Jewish capitalists, of course. Their programs called for the nationalization of education, health care, transportation, and other major industries. They instituted and vigorously enforced a strict gun control regimen. They encouraged pornography, illegitimacy, and abortion, and they denounced Christians as right-wing fanatics.

And to quote Hitler himself on the matter..

"We are socialists. We are the enemies of today's capitalist system of exploitation ... and we are determined to destroy this system under all conditions."

Though, I think it goes without saying that was all in effort of totalitarianism.

Despite being anti-Marxist and fighting the uprising of communism as well, an ultra nationalist party is going to have socialist values. A big part of nationalism is that your "legitimate" nationals benefit first and foremost without the exploitation of outsider nations, their companies, and their people—hence all the racism and anti-Semitism.

I think maybe you have your own idea of what socialism is and can't fathom how it can exist in capitalist, communist, and nationalist environments. Pretty much every country involved in WW2 relied on socialism to have their nations survive, whilst their political motives were entirely contrasted.

But this is entirely unrelated to what we were talking about. Maybe you know 'Socialist' was in the Nazi Party name, but because you don't know why, you thought it'd be a "Got 'em!" moment. Who knows what that brain's thinking at this point.

Yeah I was clearly making fun of you for thinking the ccp wasn't capitalist. Thanks for really hammering my point home by actually believing that the Nazis were socialist lol.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Ah, I see. Workers rights, social welfare, universal healthcare and education systems, disestablishment of capitalist exploitation on citizens, gun control, and women's freedoms isn't socialist. Got it 👍

Thanks for sharing your big brain wisdom with me. Now go tell everyone of this pinicale perspective of yours. The world must know!

[–] [email protected] 0 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I would say murdering all the socialists was the biggest speed bump but what do I know?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I don't know what you know, but we have an extensive history on this that you can refer to at any time.

Murdering socialists in no way takes away something's own socialist values. If you have that fallacious stance, then it must also be true that Nazis couldn't be Nazis because they purged their own party during the Night of the Long Knives.

Dude I don't want to have a conversation with you. I was making fun of you for saying stupid shit. You can keep commenting retarded takes as much as you want but I'm done here. Have a great day

[–] [email protected] 0 points 7 months ago

Why do you keep replying then? It's an interesting logic. It's almost as though your fingers start typing and hitting that Reply button before your brain's even had a moment to consider what it is you just did and said. Spare yourself the trouble and take it out on a history book instead.
