Yeah it was in some sort of maintenance mode from 2016 to 2021, though I see that the developer has continued working on it under the subtitle Community Edition to this day.

No, doesn't handle new API.
MO2 already handles invidual downloads, and parallel downloads.

Yeah, just gotta RE vortex. It's open-source but written like a piece of shit, so it's ass to read.
