A place to discuss pro-conservative stuff

  1. Be excellent to each other. Civility, No Racism, No Bigotry, No Slurs, No calls to violences, No namecalling, All that good stuff, follow lemm.ee's rules, follow the rules of your instance, etc.

  2. We are a Pro-Conservative forum. Posts must have a clear pro-conservative, or anti left-wing bias. We are interested in promoting conservatism and discussing things that might get ignored elsewhere. All sources are acceptable, however reputable sources with a reputation for factual reporting are preferred.

  3. Dissent is allowed in the comments, but try to be constructive; if you do not agree, then provide a reason which is backed up by references or a reasonable alternative interpretation of the provided facts. That means the left wing is welcome to state their opinions, but please keep it in good faith.

A polite request, not a rule, if you feel the need to report a comment, please don't reply to it.

Agreed! Homogeneity, inequity, and exclusion are core principles of conservative America. Merit is the only means by which others should be judged, their achievements a testament to their productivity and usefulness. And if that means hiring less minorities and excluding lesser people who aren't a good cultural fit because of "the system" or whatever, then so be it. The few that make it through will prove to everyone else that, if they submit to the grind, they too can succeed.

Are you really trying to imply minority groups have less merit? Do you want your surgeon to be merit based or diversity based? Do you want your pilots to be blind because they are underrepresented in airline pilots?

That's literally the implication of dismantling DEI initiatives. Because no DEI program sacrificed merit for diversity. A diverse candidate qualifies on merit first then other characteristics.

...you know what? Yeah, why not? What's the difference began a good minority surgeon and a good majority surgeon? It's not like stitches are going to stitch themselves. And better someone who won't dismiss my pain because of my skin color than someone who will.

And if there are technologies that allow blind pilots to perform at the level of seeing pilots, then...actually I hate flying altogether so I'll sit this one out.
