I have gotten myself a new pc, and it has fans, mixed with omen cryo chamber water cooling? Would I have to do anything with it? For example change out coolant or anything? Or will it be maintenance free? Thanks!

Hey everyone, a total custom loop noob here! As the titled says I'm purchasing all of the parts required to build a system that I've seen on YT.

Link below

https://youtu.be/ka4WsT4nXqs

I've never built a watercooled rig so I'll be finding a reputable local builder to do the assembly.

I am making one alteration to the build linked above by including this Alphacool Apex RAM Cooler in the loop;

https://www.ocgear.com.au/products/alphacool-apex-ram-x4-water-cooler-black?_pos=1&_sid=0be943e2b&_ss=r

https://www.ocgear.com.au/products/alphacool-core-ddr5-ram-modul-2-pcs?_pos=1&_sid=963b0e226&_ss=r

I'm also going with 3 rads on the back of the g20 instead of the chiller setup the YT build has.

I would be really grateful to get some guidance and a list of specifically which fittings and pipe I'll need to purchase in order to replicate this beautiful build. It would also be great to get advice on how many pumps I'll need and where they should be going. Furthermore, what possible issues and incompatibilities I might be facing with this build.

Thanks for reading!

I'm looking to watercool my 3080 card and was wondering what other gpus share the same pcb layout as my card as I've been having an impossible time sourcing a waterblock for my specific manufacturer

Is this actually gunk inside the GPU block? I've already rinsed it with distilled water, but it won't come off. Is there a way to remove it? Or maybe there's nothing there, and it's just my imagination  The GPU block was purchased a month ago, and I don't think I should open it to clean it since that would likely void the warranty.

Hi all. I was kicked from the server for a very bad reason. One of the mods kept trolling and trashing me from day one.

One day the same mod tried to help a user, while doing it he bricked his bios, I helped the user to recover his bios with bios flashback.

As I helped the user the users raid config did not work anymore so I just told the user to start over and format the drives.

Instead of helping the user with it the mod kept trashing me about the user loosing his data from my advice. As it's obvious as formating is starting over and I've said that to the user a few times I do not see an issue with it.

I called the mod over the harassment and he kicked me from the server.

The only thing this mod do is trash other people and once in a blue moon helps for 5 seconds.

Please remove the block so I could rejoin the discord and deal with the mod, as it's a horrible way to act in a community.

I bought all the parts for an external radiator watercooled build. All of the fittings I bought are made by Barrow. I've heard they are good apart from the QDC fittings.

Apparently the Barrow QDC fittings have issues with flow. Has anyone bought them recently and can confirm?

I want to start building now but if I have to get new QDCs ill have to hold off for now.

Hi everybody,

I have an GPU (RX 6750 XT legacy edition from XFX) that i always wanted to build an water cooling project, combined with an CPU block as well. All that said, i was never able to find anyone that did it, and i don't have any idea where to find the right (compatible) block to use, does the 6700 XT block fits?

My best regards to all!

hi all hope i can find some wise advice here .

i intend to upgrade my config by purchasing a second msi x trio rtx 3090 for doing SLI (with waterblocked allready installed) .( i've ownd sli gpu's for past 15 years so i know the advantages of downs of it )

i know a bit of watercool since i use to have a custom one for dual sli and cpu with a MORA 360 .

i am now looking only in aio wc since it much more conveniant and i dont have as much time as i wish to pass on my wc rig . so i'm looking for some AIO with pump reserv and rad and connectors to plug on a rtx 3090 waterblock ( EK Vector trio waterbock )

i have space for a 360 rad and for a 420 . top of case is used with a NZXT kraken z3 360 for cpu .

I'm considering using a Kraken G12 on my GTX 980 Ti, but I'm worried about VRAM temps since the G12 doesn’t include any VRAM cooling. Does anyone know if this causes overheating?

I also have a VRAM heatsink from the EVGA Hybrid version of the GTX 980 Ti. Would it work with the Kraken G12 setup?

So I know this has always been a debate but does loop order matter?

I recently finished my water cooled build yesterday and gaming on it last night everything was fine and even gaming on it for hours tonight everything was good but when I was on my last game of valorant I had major fps drops, it wouldn’t even go above 20. I decided to restart my pc and got sent to bios with a cpu overheating error and bios showed it at 86c on idle.

I’m trying to troubleshoot and figure out what the issue is. I currently have 2 360 mm radiators cooling a ryzen 9 5950x and a 3090 with a corsair hydro x res/pump combo.

I guess my first question is could it be the loop order? I currently have it setup like so as it was the easiest and cleanest look.

Pump->rad->gpu->rad->cpu->pump

I also notice a bunch of tiny air bubbles through out the loop including in the cpu block.

Could that be the issue?

The cpu block also looks like it’s only half way filled with coolant and not all the way filled up.

Any input and info would be greatly appreciated!

I want to use thermal putty for my watercooled Asus Strix 3080 TI. Which one is the best for the money.

I am based in germany so the products are very limited (with fast shipping). It looks like that I need up to 50g for my graphics card?

I looked in to these options: Would need 2 of this: https://www.zed-up.de/p/hardwareliebe-thermal-putty-extreme64-thermal-paste-gap-filler-50-g?srsltid=AfmBOoq1J1zrqRxl-xfReNkf0PHMaf0RiNJQGnpX5-TyJ-TFTnNx9M_i

Would need 2 of this: https://www.electronicloop.de/12cc-Laird-Tputty-607-Liquid-Gap-Filler-64-W-mK

Looks like the best option for the money: https://www.ebay.de/itm/395655457649?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=707-127634-2357-0&ssspo=5bhmgrbytd2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=hin4bkbatta&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Hello peeps. I've been steadily chipping away at a new build after being out of the loop for 10 years.

Can I get some advice on the following fan setup idea I have in my head.

Currently have or getting: - Corsair 7000D airflow case. - a modern MSI ATX board, - modern AMD processor, - currently installed a 3070 Ti which will become a 4090/5090, - currently installed a noctua NH-D15 but once new GPU is installed then system will become properly water cooled.

After days and days looking for what I think might fit fan and radiator wise and constantly measuring internals in the case I decided to do the following:

  • Remove the front dust filter (its not a filter, its just a mesh)

Image shows pointing at the reversed front fan frame mount piece.

  • Turn around the the front fan mounting bracket. This allows more space on the inside of the case at the front, & allowing the insertion of 3x140x15mm Silverstone AirSlimmer fans between the front case triangular mesh and the fan frame mounting bracket. Then behind the reversed fan frame bracket, I will be able to install a 140x420x30mm radiator from? I'm sure I found a 20mm version of this from Barrow or someone but cant find it now. And then behind that install another 3x140x15mm Silverstone AirSlimmer fans. Reasoning for the Silverstone Air slimmers is because they are a reasonable priced & locally sourced, have the ARGB and daisy chainable features I want, I've seen some good reviews of them and they allow me to have a push/pull arrangement on the front radiator without having to obstruct the side arrangement and without having to step down to a 120mm width.

  • Then on the side have a 120x480x20mm barrow radiator on the inside of its fan mount bracket and then on the inside face of the radiator have 4x120 Silverstone Air slimmer fans so as again not to interfere with the front arrangement and to now keep the Silverstone them going. If I'm feeling grunge I might then go and add another 4x120 Silverstone Airslimmer fans to the outside external side door of the case to create another push/pull arrangement there. I like the idea of Frankenstein builds.

  • Then on top under the case roof I can fit another push pull arrangement with 2x140 Silverstone Airslimmer fans pushing up into an equivalent 30mm or 20mm if I think I can find it thick radiator into another 2x140 Silverstone Airslimmer fans extracting. I'm aware it will obstruct the top holes in the case but there is about 10mm left for those top fan & PCIe cables.

  • Then I can have another 140mm Silverstone Airslimmer fan on the back vent (needs to be slim again to not obstruct the visuals of the MSI dragon). And here is where it gets more silly if it hasn't already. I am then thinking to have some hard line tubing penetrate the back of the case above the back fan and coil its way around behind the back fan and then reenter the case and find its way back to the first or only reservoir. Internal piping I'm actually wanting to be soft tubing to look like arteries or something similar, but when outside it should be hard line.

What do people think of the idea to use all the silverstone slim fans for the preventing of interference of perpendicular radiators etc?

I'm aiming to build a whisper-quiet system for heavy machine learning workloads that will run overnight. Here’s the setup I’ve planned so far:

Case: Fractal Define 7 XL (prioritizing silence and airflow)

Cooling: Alphacool waterblocks for the Ryzen 9950X CPU and both RTX 4090 GPUs

Radiator & Fans: Front intake: NexXxoS Monsta 480 with push-pull setup using 8 Arctic P12 Max fans

Rear exhaust: 1 Arctic P14 Max fan

Bottom exhaust (I am desperate): 2 Arctic P14 Max fans (to reduce internal pressure and aid airflow through rad)

A key concern is that I want to keep the top sound-dampening plate intact for noise reduction, but I’m worried it might limit thermal performance. Is removing it absolutely necessary for optimal airflow, or will the current fan configuration be sufficient for heat dissipation under sustained heavy loads?

Looking for advice on maintaining silence without sacrificing cooling efficiency. What do you think?

1 lasted under a year the other barely 2. They claim to be from a good supplier but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Should I just get a different ddc or convert to d5? I do have another system with a ddc and zero issues. Both failed ddc were on dual 360 rads so nothing crazy.
