One of my best friends that is trans (her name is Brooke btw) is going to be turning 21 in a week. She also recently got a bartending license and is working on getting into barbacking. She wanted a good drink to celebrate her 21st bday and so I asked Chat GPT to make a drink. I like the direction this went and she loved what it came up with so I thought I'd share it with you guys.
So since Brooke likes vodka and wanted a cocktail, I asked Chat GPT to make a trans themed cocktail, and here is what it said:
"While there isn't a widely recognized vodka-based cocktail specifically associated with the trans community, it is possible to create a cocktail that celebrates inclusivity and diversity. The concept of creating a cocktail to represent or associate with a particular community can be a way to promote awareness and show support.
One option could be to create a custom cocktail that incorporates colors commonly associated with the transgender flag. The transgender flag features light blue, pink, and white stripes. You could experiment with ingredients that represent these colors, such as blue curaçao for the blue stripe, grenadine or strawberry syrup for the pink stripe, and coconut milk or cream for the white stripe.
Here's a suggested recipe for a vodka-based cocktail representing the transgender flag:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) vodka
1/2 ounce (15 ml) blue curaçao
1/2 ounce (15 ml) grenadine or strawberry syrup
1/2 ounce (15 ml) coconut milk or cream
Ice
Optional garnish: Fresh strawberry or blueberry
Instructions:
Fill a shaker with ice.
Add vodka and blue curaçao to the shaker and shake until well chilled.
Strain the mixture into a glass.
Slowly pour the grenadine or strawberry syrup down the side of the glass, allowing it to sink to the bottom, creating a
layered effect.
In a separate glass, mix the coconut milk or cream with a small amount of blue curaçao to create a slightly lighter shade of blue.
Gently pour the coconut milk or cream mixture over the back of a spoon onto the layered drink to create another layer.
Garnish with a fresh strawberry or blueberry, if desired.
Serve and enjoy!
Remember, this is a custom cocktail created to symbolize inclusivity and representation. Feel free to adjust the ingredients and proportions to suit your taste and preferences."
As someone who doesn't drink very often, this drink honestly sounds fantastic and Brooke really liked it too. Because of this, I thought it was worth sharing with you guys in case there's any alcohol/cocktail lovers out there. Hope you guys enjoy! <3
