Sure there are going to be some people who are desperate to get in but can't (for whatever reason) but most people don't actually care about that.

There are plenty of stories where someone invited their friend(s) to a private tracker only to see them disabled later due to them not actually using it.

It's generally not enough to get an account, you need to actually maintain it. On some trackers you can get immunity from inactivity pruning but that generally requires you to donate or to upload to the site.

If you actually want to join say PTP badly you are very likely to eventually succeed in that. It's not actually hard to become torrent master on RED, sure it takes some work but it really isn't that difficult work.

With anime i have noticed that most people don't even want to bother with nyaa, they opt for some shitty streaming site instead.

And outside of TV/movies joining the top trackers takes significantly less work.

RED: you can get official invite directly via interview.

GGn: easy to join from RED (power user is enough).

Animebytes: after a year on RED the official requirement is dropped to power user which is very easy to get (i assume most applying as PU after 1 year still get accepted).

With ptp mentioning that a lot of users are using a lot of api calls they say we should set radarr to only search every hour. Currently my radarr set up is set to search every 15 minutes (the default). I can change my radarr settings, but if there is an advantage to autobrr besides racing I'll use that instead.

There’s a ton of Broadway productions with pro-shot versions, but it can be pretty difficult to find ones that aren’t insanely popular (like Rent or Wicked). Just wondering if there’s a good tracker for these?

Somewhat related, if there’s a good tracker for concert films, interested in that too!

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to join PTP and BTN but I'm concerned about the upload requirements. I don't have time to dedicate to consistent uploading.

Is it still possible to be a member and actively participate in these trackers even if I can't contribute much in terms of uploads?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

The invite thread is edited with "Temporary issues with our email service" since more than a month ago, I asked on IRC if are there any news but no one answer, I don't want to ask the recruiter and risk to bother him. Does anyone know anything about this?

Cheers

Just wondering how Pornlab ratio works. I have a 4.83 ratio right now, and I can't seem to find if there are specific requirements for seeding. Do I have to seed files for a certain time? or can I download and delete anytime I want, as long as the ratio is good? Thanks.

Any idea of what could be causing this? I've tried changing the DNS to no avail.

Also worth noting that my IP changed when I switched modems

A few days ago, I came across a post here advertising open registrations for a tracker, but then they mentioned being hit by a DDoS attack and would be back later. Now I see the message: "Open Registration Is Disabled and You Will Need an Invite to Gain Access!" This seems a bit odd—if they were planning to reopen after the attack, wouldn't you expect an announcement? Am I missing something, or did I get bamboozled?

I am new to private trackers and I am struggling to keep up with seeding. I don't want to get a hit and run charge so I am doing my best to seed. My question is what settings do I need to put my laptop on to make it continuously seed? I am on a laptop and it will stop seeding after to long, like last night I was trying to seed and I woke up my VPN shutting down after 5 hours.

I read the names of hundreds and hundreds of encoder groups but the variables that characterize video files seem to me to be few enough to have to justify the existence of all those signatures. The ones that come to mind on the fly are for example bitrate, resolution, DV or not DV, SDR/HDR, different types of HDR, some types of audio that I can't think of right now. I see very often different encoders that have encoded the same movie with the exact same characteristics, maybe with a few gb or mb difference. If encoding processes are more or less universal (judging from the guides floating around), what are the variables that I don't see? What distinguishes a good encoding from a bad one with the same size and characteristics?

(For the sake of convenience, let's consider it with the same codec)

Whenever I try to access any torrent I get an error Code 600 Saying that the torrent doesn't exist or has been deleted and that for all torrents.

TL;DR - If you're an "Elite" member on HDF and didn't use it for quite a time, login now before you definitely loose your account.

HDF has made a lot of changes and bug corrections this past year, including finding and correcting a bug in the inactivity rules enforcement system.

Previously, all "Elite" class members where immune to inactivity, which was an error. Now the rule enforcement has been corrected and 400 accounts has been deactivated.

There are few days remaining before a complete disabled accounts purge in early 2025. So if you think you may have been deactivated and don't want to definitely loose your account, better login again fast (and start using the site again).

I want a nice user class to feel special.

I did also read about an "encoder" user class there that sounds interesting.

On the subject of invite privileges, we've started to tighten the screws on some invite-related issues we've been experiencing on the site. Namely, those using invite-centric forums to trade and buy invites, as well as those performing giveaways (GAs) of PTP invites. As such, the invite rules have been updated to 2024 standards with regards to places you may not offer our invites, as well as some other bits added for clarity's sake. Read the invite rules here.

To note a specific change: you may not invite "internet friends" you have only conversed with in the public eye (such as Discord servers, Telegram channels, Twitter, Reddit, and QQ groups). Doing so will get you and your invite tree banned.

If you have ever used an invite-centric site, given away/traded invites for PTP or any other reputable private trackers, or even bought an invite; now is your opportunity to come forward for the consideration of amnesty depending on how serious the offense is. Conversely, those who do not come forward now and who are caught later on will be judged much more harshly, which will likely lead to you permanently losing your account. To come forward, send a staff PM.

Also besides Empress, Fitgirl, all repack sites, all DDL sites, 1337x, everything on r/PiratedGames rentry.

Are there any other private trackers good for gaming (besides the 2 mentioned in the title)?

Thank you!

Coming from public trackers, two things stand out as being insane. First, the amount of seeders. Even older torrents or more obscure content will have seeders into the double digits. Second, the speeds. Downloading from a public tracker is almost always slow for me, whether its due to few seeders or “low quality” seeders. With private trackers, way more people have things like seedboxes or pay for high upload speeds, so I am able to max out my download speeds with most torrents. While I’ll admit that most stuff can be found on public trackers, to me private trackers stand out not just in how much content they have, but how well seeded it is, both in amount and quality of seeders.

I want to share large files with personal friends. I use Tailscale on my laptop, but Taildrop always fails (and is very slow) for large files (anything over ~50MB). Google Drive does not work, because the download always gets interrupted halfway through the download. IDM works great, but the trial expired. JDownloader has not been updated in years, so it likely is not safe.

I was thinking, why not just use a torrent. But I need a tracker for that. I googled and found out about this site:

https://privtracker.com/

The git page has not been updated since ~May 2023, but I'm not sure that matters with this type of service. Would this work for transferring files between friends? Or if not, is there something else that works the same or even better? Btw, I’m using Windows 11 Pro on a laptop and the other computer is Windows 10 Pro, I believe. Thank you.

I have a hunch that the period of wait time will increase from 2 to 3 years because inflation rising worldwide, so we need more members to grind on the gateway trackers for more revenue for the seed-box companies and thus benefitting the alpha trackers as well since they might be getting some commission from it (Just my guess...this is not an accusation since I have no proof). What's good for the goose is good for the gander as well.

So how are you affected if such a thing was to happen ?

Your position in this if someday such a thing happens ???

Will losing invite privileges on a cabal tracker prevent me to join other cabal trackers, like If I was banned?
