Just watched season 7, and there was quite a bit of the dialogue that proposed pretty philosophical ideas, most of which made me pause the episode to dwell on and contemplate, made me internally praise the writing for being insightful and thought provoking.

Then I had the realisation I think the show has good writing which I've heard from many many people that it apparently doesn't. I've watched a lot of critical reviews about this show explaining how the writing is dull, meaningless or one dimensional, and my question is, am I dumb for not thinking this is the case? Is the writing actaully dumb and I'm just dumber than it, in turn making me think it's smart?

In the episode with the memory parasites, the first memory with poopy butthole wasn't necessarily positive until the butler saved them. I know it's shameful I just now realized that, but I can def understand why beth assumed mr.poopybutthole was a parasite if that was the only memory she shared of him which in her mind, would have counted as a positive memory despite being stuck in an elevator at the time.

EDIT: I've been informed that is was cousin Nicky who saved them and not the butler.
