Four more large Internet service providers told the US Supreme Court this week that ISPs shouldn't be forced to aggressively police copyright infringement on broadband networks.

While the ISPs worry about financial liability from lawsuits filed by major record labels and other copyright holders, they also argue that mass terminations of Internet users accused of piracy "would harm innocent people by depriving households, schools, hospitals, and businesses of Internet access." The legal question presented by the case "is exceptionally important to the future of the Internet," they wrote in a brief filed with the Supreme Court on Monday.

Hello,

I am trying to find sources for the Sketchbook series over on Museumtv. I've searched the usual sources and nothing came up for this seemingly obscure website.

I have a trial account on it but it's gonna expire soon, and manually downloading the m3u8 streams and stitching them together (no master m3u8) is a pain.

I appreciate any help!

I used to do this. A lot. But the last time was most of if not a decade ago. I'm very far out of the game and need a refresher on who and what people are using now. I think I used mobilism back then. Maybe.

In the past, I've relied on whatever stream I happen to be able to find through whatever sketchy site and it's really frustrating.

Are there any legit, reliable ways to catch NFL games as they're happening (ideally that don't require a cable subscription/tuner card)?

Is that (still) a thing? How safe is it to rip Blu-rays for seeding?

Edit: clarification. I mean the invisible kind of watermark used as a unique identifier of the disc and associated file.

The website i used to watch streams of tv and movies is now offline. Anyone know of any other good pirate streaming websites?

So I recently bought an old wii, specifically for the purpose of homebrewing. I'm able to understand so far as to what needs downloaded on the Wii and how to backup, but I can't find any sites with games. I noticed Vimms Lair wasn't an option anymore, and other sites I look through use ROMs for emulators. (Unless, those do work on the console). I think you need .wbfs files, and I'd really appreciate if I was pointed in the right direction

Hello pirate community, now that Netflix is going to eliminate the basic ads-free plan, what is the best way to avoid said ads? I don't think that the DNS blocking will work or will it? It must be some modified app or something like that? I know that the best thing will be to get the content externally through torrents but I want something that is friendly for people who are not tech savvy. Thanks!!

I want to download books and read them on the go. First, where can I get books? I know about libgen, but I rarely find anything I want. Second, where can I read them on the go. I like the concept of e-ink. It doesn’t strain the eyes as much. Are there good cheap tablets I can load my books onto?

Watched the first episode of The Acolyte on Disney+, and there so many ads that I swear the ad-to-star-wars radio was 1 to 1.

...so I set sail. I'm so sick this. But now I've got three video files on the comp (Windows 10), but I'm struggling to get them into the TV... We have a Roku, but apparently my comp doesn't support 'Miracast', and that seems to be a huge road block going by guides online.

Hoping to not spend an arm and a leg, but probably need some cable or something other than Roku. I'm probably the least techy person on Lemmy, so please idiot-proof any instructions.

Thanks all!
