I'm looking for a software that would show the average and peak temperature, usage, and power draw. I'm not sure if HWInfo64 would log that, because I need the information to record for a high school science fair.

Recently overclocked my CPU (Ryzen 9 9900x) and was curious if its going to degrade or ruin my CPU/performance if i leave it OC 24/7. Every now and then my computer does freeze but overall performance on games is great. I overclocked 200+ on precision boost drive with an undervolt on the new curve feature

Every time I tried to boot into the BIOS, I got a black screen with a white freezing underscore on the top left of my monitor when I disabled MCR and Power Down. Enabling them improved the boot time and I can go to BIOS without any issue. But I don't know if leaving the MCR and Power Down enable harms the system long-term or not. I really can't tell if I see any difference in terms of latency and whatnot. I also enabled EXPO and left the RAM run at 6000mhz (default was 4800mhz), and did some light OC + UV ([email protected]) on the 7600x as well.

Hi, I'm very new to overclocking and wanted to mess around with it. My friend helped me a bit, and I use intels XTU to overclock. I have got it stable at 5.6 GHz with volt offset to -0,130 V and a cinebench r23 score of 26188. He said it was really good. I wondered what is normal for the 14000kf?

Hi

Is my PC worth overclocking ? How much improvement can I get by OC ?

I have CPU: i7 3770k (Ivy Bridge, 22 nm ), cpu cooler: ARCTIC Freezer 13, Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-D3H, Ram: DDR3 16 GB Kingston Hyper Blue, Graph.Card: NVidia GeForce GTX 1050  Ti (GP 107, Gainward, 14nm, 607 MHz),

I have no experience with OC, no prior knowledge with it .. and I don’t feel need for itright now (I dont play games right now, I just use pc for normal work) .. but I think I should be prepared to do OC in the near future ..

So, main question is: Is it worth overclocking ? How much improvement can I get from OC?

Secondary question: Any reccomendations how to do it ? Quick search told me that I shouls set CPU Multiplier to 42 - 46, set memory multiplier 16 - 26 ?, Vcore up to 1.35 , tempriture to keep lower than 80-85 C ?

Third qeestion: Will OC cause CPU to die after few years ?

My 10600K processor is reaching temperatures of 70°C at idle and over 100°C with restarts under heavy load. This is happening even with Turbo Boost disabled, all cores set to a ratio of 39, and a negative voltage offset of -0.100.

I don’t know what else to do to get decent temperatures. My cooling is an ID Cooling FrostFlow 240, and it seems to be properly installed. I’m using Arctic MX4 thermal paste.

Any help is welcome

So I've been using for some year my Ryzen , but now I see now and there that I should consider overclocking.

Maybe there is some tutorial for exact mobo aswell?

System : Ryzen 9 5950x Mob: MSI MAG X570S TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI Ram: Corsair DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB 128GB (4x32GB) DDR4 3600MHz C18 Cooling: AIO 360

I've tried Ryzen Master but doesn't seems that I'd does lot. So idea is to try bios settings .

Hello hello.

I just got back into overclocking after a bit of absence and redid my RAM Oc completely.

-I dont think naming my parts or shit is important for this question so I will let it be for now-

My problem: After now getting my OC done and having it 100% stable I am doing more and more bechnmarks to chwck the performance increase or decrease.

I went from 3600MT/s to 4133MT/s on the same primary and tertiary timings, only slightly more lose secondaries.

However, now the cpu performance (unoverclocked, 100% stable) took a hit while I noticed that according to 30 runs on Aida64 in windows safemode (and their average) the available bandwidth on the new OC of 4133MT/s significantly decreased compared to before. The average displayed bandwidth lies at only 50.000 on Read and around half of that on Write (which makes sense since the cpu is a Ryzen 7 5700x). I tried checking for new updates, bios and chipset, also any programs that may cause issues, and windows but could find nothing. The performance hit is quite big too, especially, and oddly enough in CinebenchR23 and R24, where my maximum scores went down 600 points and 100 points respectively.

Any ideas or fixes are greatly appreciated.

Also sorry for bad english, it is jot my first language.

Has anyone experienced degradation after the latest microcode for 13th and 14th gen? If you have, please say how long you've had your cpu or if it's a fresh rma. Also if you had any OC set and the frequency and vcore you're running at.

I wanted to make my GPU run faster, cause why not, so I added clock speed without increasing the voltage (cause HP locked it) and this is the maximum stable clocks that I could do, I also added +525MHz on the memory. I am not sure if it is a good curve or not cause I am new in overclocking. I get 8314 points in Time Spy, before the overclock it was like 7500

I have a laptop running windows 11 with an mx450 and an i5 11th gen. I wanted to overclock my gpu. Ive never done it before and I have no clue how to do so, all the videos I watched on the subject told me to use the overclocking scanner in msi afterburner, but I keep getting this error " VEN_10DE&DEV_1F97&SUBSYS_3F9217AA&REV_A1&BUS_43&DEV_0&FN_0" I have allowed access to GPU counters for all apps. How do I fix this, and is there any other way of overclocking it I'm currently getting decent frames but I'm having frequent stutters.

Hi guys.

Unfortunately I couldn't stabilize the system with the RAM at 7800 MHz, so I had to lower the clock to 7600 MHz working on teaming and power supplies.

Hello! I got a max-q 4060 automatically undervolted+oc'ed by acer's Nitrosense profile.

My card has a fixed power limit of 85watts and gets overclocked by 100+ mhz on the core clock and 200mhz on the memory when enabling the turbo profile. As I guessed this to be some kind of undervolt+oc, i tried to add 150 mhz more to the clock, the power limit was indeed still locked to 85watts(so the card wasn't drawing more than 85w), but the core did overclock by 250mhz total.

I tried doing the same thing with the 70watts profile, where the card get's oc'ced by the same amount of turbo mode, but when i tried adding 150mhz to the clock, the game i was using to test my OC (Alan Wake II) crashed after 30 seconds. Temps still seemed to be the same as with the default profile, and power wattage was fixed to 70.

Now, my question is, would the crash at 70w be caused by me making the default uv+oc (applied by Nitrosense) unstable? Can I use the turbo mode's profile wattage limit to try and find a stable oc until i get instability?

I'm sorry for the weird formatting, my english is a bit bad and i didn't know how to ask this question otherwise lol.

Hello , I just did a FurMark test on my 3060 ti 8gb for 20 minutes , and I got a score of 7835 and avg fps of 130, is this good or is it barely good? it didn't crash or restart during the test so I assume it's good right? because recently I've been having blue screens and my stream would crash and lag, in addition to hardware errors on the reliability history so I tested ram, cpu, and gpu and all seem fine. I formatted my pc and did the test , and here's the result:
