They don't compare themselves to others. (There is nothing useful in comparison, everyone is on a different journey.)

• They don't dwell on mistakes. (It is pointless to dwell, they look for solutions.)

They adjust to and welcome change. (Change is inevitable. You have to learn to accept it, adjust to new situations, and learn to work with changes.)

They take care of themselves and learn to say No. (They know boundaries are important to their wellbeing.)

They are positive and confident in their endeavors. (They go into every situation with a good attitude.)

They know they will experience failures. (Some failures are part of the course. They just handle them accordingly.)

They practice gratitude. It keeps life in perspective and keeps the good energy flowing.)

They Don't stay stuck on things they can't control, they focus on solutions and move forward.

They know the world does not Owe them anything, and they have to make their own way.

I've been thinking a lot about who the biggest and most popular artists of all time are, and I wanted to hear what you guys think! Here’s my list so far:

  1. Michael Jackson – The King of Pop. His influence on music and pop culture is undeniable. Thriller is legendary.
  2. The Beatles – Revolutionized music in the 60s and continue to have a massive influence decades later. Their fan base is still huge.
  3. Taylor Swift – One of the biggest artists of today with insane global popularity. From country to pop, she dominates everything.
  4. Justin Bieber – He’s been a global phenomenon since he was a teenager, and still manages to stay relevant today.

And then... I'm kinda stumped! Who would you add to the list? Maybe Madonna, Beyoncé, Elvis, or someone else? Let me know who makes the cut for you and why!

What do you think? You can adjust the list or the wording as you'd like

Ive got a shelf with my pc and a subwoofer, its a bolt-less shelf so I think it will be fine, but is there a way to tell for sure? I don't know if this the correct sub so sorry mods if I'm wrong, but I think its related enough. I dont want the pc to break or the shelf to fall over.

How do you know them?

I’m not talking about name dropping famous people (unless you are friends with famous musicians I suppose).

Just tell us about your favorite.

I have two girls, aged 3 and 5.

Proud to report that Cocomelon or "kids" music is very limited in my car and that my 5 year old has taken to Alanis Morissette, already memorizing a few of her songs.. The three year old can be heard singing Under the Bridge by RHCP in addition to some Sublime.

My theory is you can't start em listening to good music too young..no Taylor Swift allowed either!

Listening to Solitude Standing on a beautiful quiet early evening, hearing Shawn Colvin backing on Luka, and thinking the 80's coffee shop scene in NYC must have been amazing.

What "scene" would you want to go back in time for? Not a concert, not a single event or artist, but places that would later be legendary? Haight-Ashbury is always the big one people remember (for GenX hearing about it from our Boomer parents). Early 90's hip-hop (East or West) are other big ones, Memphis at the Sun Records peak, could even be something as obscure as that Americana/Alt-Country scene that brought us DBT/Sturgil Simpson/etc. about a decade ago.

I think the NYC coffee shop scene would be my 2nd, maybe, behind the 90's So. Cal punk scene (NOFX, et. al.) That one's my first because I was the right age for it, and into the music, but I lived in KC so got all of it a little late and only caught the acts when they came through Lawrence, KS.

okay so for context, i’m only 18 years old and i’ve always thought older rock bands are a lot better than newer rock bands. when i listen to a newer band (2000s - present) i feel like they’re just boring and bland. when you listen to older bands like led zeppelin, pink floyd, black sabbath. they were all so good and so popular because they were doing something that nobody else had done at the time. when i hear a song from a modern rock band i feel like ive heard it all before. in the 60s it was soft rock bands like the beatles and the beach boys, 70s was hard rock and heavy metal, 80s was glam rock, 90s was grunge and then it just felt like no new material was coming out. am i hearing something other people arent? do i need to be more open minded to new music or do other people agree?

So we have this Bakhmut city in Ukraine, AND IT'S FUCKING COAT OF ARMS MADE BY A TYPE O NEGATIVE FAN

(It's temporary captured by an Asiatic horde from the East, so don't forget to support btw)

i bought tickets months ago for a highly anticipated and now sold out event. today I finally get the link and it doesn't work and because it's the same day I don't have time to even fix it. the company is just 'oh we can't contact the seller, we'll find similar price ones (not possible) or refund you." under no circumstances should a company be allowed to provide you tickets to an event only the day before or day of. if this company just gave them to me a week ahead, or made the seller do so, then this wouldn't have been as big of a deal because we still would have had time to maybe get it fixed. im absolutely heartbroken because these were a special gift, and im so tired of the concert industry being a big bag of shit
