“I like to think that Chester and Emily would've made great friends

They both loved Nirvana and were inspired by Kurt Cobain. I think they'd be in awe of each other's talent. Only problem is we'd have trouble getting a hold of two gremlins running and jumping around.”

Additionally, some have tried to draw parallels between Kurt Cobain and her.

Hi everyone. I'm in a kind of musical identity crisis where i don't really know what artists the listen too except the 2 I mentioned up. If it can help here are some songs i like; -Is there someone else, love to lay and moth to a flame by the weeknd -Break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored by ariana grande -Graveyard, Without U and Gasoline by Halsey -Swimming pools by kendrick lamar -Silence by khalid -Redbone and Human sacrifice by Childish Gambino I also tend to slightly prefer the beat(60%) over lyrics(40%) Thanks

One-hit wonders have a reputation for being… tacky. Otherwise they wouldn't be the only hit right? But what is the best one musically? That's what I'm interested in hearing from you. Could be the song or the artist themselves.

I have to mention "Closing Time" by Semisonic, it's a song I find beautiful. Add to that "Move Your Feet", Junior Senior really were an underrated group. I'd say they're the most fun musical act to ever appear.

Ok, so all I remember about this song is that it was popular on tiktok and the lyrics go something like I don't think about you at all, oh shit, I just did or something like that you get what I mean. I've spent a few days looking for it but can't find it.

With the recent death of Kris Kristoferson, leaving Willie Nelson as the last living member of The Highwaymen, I started wondering which Super Group would you say is the G.O.A.T. of Super Groups? The contenders I have are... The Lousiana Gator Boys, The Highwaymen, The Travelling Wilburies and last but not least The Band. Are there any others I've forgotten?

AND IT WAS SO AWESOME??? I mean I have friends who have told me, "Went to a concert...I liked it :D" and things like that. But, like, hello? No one told me it was this fun???

(For context, I went to see Pitbull. Which included T-Pain and Lil Jon). The vibes? Immaculate. My voice? Gone. My ears? Dead. (Yes, I will now be investing in ear protection and some sun glasses.) Ugh. So good. I think for a moment there I realized why people like going clubbing (the more glamorous part of it at least). It was such an exhilarating experience, I'm now itching to go to another concert.

Two questions for anyone to answer (both, one, neither; feels like I'm ranting otherwise lol):

1 - Did your first concert feel like this? / How did your first concert feel?

2 - (For context: I change the genre of music I listen to constantly.) Should I go to a concert of an artist that doesn't make...uh, danceable music (anything even mildly slow-paced, doesn't matter the lyrics)? Rationality and a need for exposure says yes because, "Try everything once." However, for the next few years, I'm not exactly going to be in an uber comfy financial spot to simply splurge, and I feel like concerts (for me! for me) are more of a "scream your stress out, dance your anxiety out" type of events--for now(?). Should I just wait a while?

Please give suggestions of obscure genres ik this is stupid and I listen to a lot of rap and rock but it's mainly "mainstream" as in Radiohead nas mf doom I have heard Godspeed you black emperor and ahpex twin i also have been listening to quite a bit of pop albums (after hours, back to black)

Remove this if it violates the rules I don't think it deos but I don't have very good interpretation

I'm looking for a song from several years ago that I used to love and me and my partner listen to however I can't find it. Eventually he got a music video he's a bearded dude he has a f****** hat looks like Abraham Lincoln and he talks about "I bet if I wrote a book you wouldn't even read it front to back you would really like a pamphlet.... Something about you think I did this because of you I did this in spite of you... " We can barely remember much after that it's a lyrical rap the video shows books blowing up. I don't even use Reddit but I've turned to Reddit in search of this song / artist because I don't really remember him ever doing anything else.... Please send help. It has a lot of sentimental value to us. I am literally trying to figure out how to use you read it to find this song. I've never f****** use a form before. Forum.

Here are a few for me: (no order) the lyrics to these songs always make me cry and just move me lyrically. after I cry from listening to these songs I feel relieved. I need new songs to cry to lol.

Celine Dion- My heart will go on (really anything Céline Dion)

Aerosmith -Don’t wanna miss a thing

Trisha Yearwood/Lee Ann Rimes- How do I Live (both versions are 🔥) but I love a good country ballad

Ariana grande-POV

Christina Aguilera- Hurt

Mariah Carey- my all (really anything early Mariah)

John Mayer- gravity

Sugar land- stay

Avril Lavigne- wish u were here

Also shoutout to Dionne Warren, incredible song writer, she wrote “ Don’t wanna miss a thing” and “How I live without you”.

Hi everyone!

I am a marketer, specializing in ads and PR. I was running my campaign organically and doing a good job, but my life is packed with things to do. While I was feeling stressed, I came across an incredibly well-produced ad from a group of very convincing young people called "The Boost Collective."

I thought, "This ad is so well put together in terms of its pattern interrupt, targeting, and messaging. Obviously, they can do this for me, and their whole selling point is 'We don’t use bots.'"

Having used Moonstrive(Moonstrive is grand) before to ease the burden of a release, I decided it might be worth giving these guys a try. They use Meta Conversion campaigns, which I’ve used many times for clients over the years, and they’re highly effective.

On day one of the campaign, my streams went up an absurd amount—1K in a single day. I thought, "These guys are really delivering on their promises." They even sent me the six (play)lists they had added me to, and I thought, "This looks promising" since the play lists had healthy follower counts.

They claimed to be using SEO (play) listing, which is a method that leverages keywords, like "Best Country and Western Essential Soundtracks," to curate a (play)list and subtly insert songs that fit the vibe. It’s still outbound marketing, which doesn’t guarantee results, but at least there’s some curation involved. This is the framework that Boost collective have built their grift upon.

Unfortunately, it seems like they just used something like Wavr AI to make it look like they were doing what they promised on day one. (They call this "The Giant Teddy Bear at the Carnival" technique because it makes you think they’ve achieved something positive when one person walks away with a huge teddy bear, making the game seem winnable.) However, from my Spotify for Artists dashboard, I could see that only two of the (play)lists yielded any streams, and combined, they generated under 300 streams. After that, my streams per listener tanked, my follow rate plummeted, and my save rate was obliterated.

Where those 1K+ streams came from, I will absolutely never know, but I suspect it was Wavr AI or a classic bot farm. When I checked Trustpilot, I started to realize they had likely botted their own reviews, creating fake accounts just to give themselves glowing ratings. In breach of Trustpilot’s policies (which exposes them for what they are), they even posted screenshots of these fake reviews on their own website.

Now, of course, they won’t respond to my emails and haven’t since the week I foolishly gave them my money.

The most frustrating part is: why aren’t they just delivering on their promise? They’re running fantastic ads to get people to sign up, so it would take them barely any effort to actually do the job as advertised. It’s insane.

Anyway, since they’re scam artists of the highest order, damaging artists’ algorithmic reach by putting us in shady situations, I have an idea. I think everyone who’s been scammed by them should post the (play)lists they were added to in the comments of this thread and report each one to Spotify(if you care anyway). You can check a (play) list’s legitimacy here: https://www.artist.tools/bot-checker

Hi:) I'm wondering if it's weird to go to a concert for a single artist or for a few songs (1 to 3 songs). On October 25, Evanescence, The Warning and Halestorm are coming to Canada and I really want to go because what are the chances that Evanescence and The Warning will come back to Canada especially in Quebec yk.

The problem is, I know four songs from Evanescence's Fallen album while The Warning I know a few (I've just discovered this band and I love it:)). And for Halestorm, none. I figured the ticket wasn't very expensive (C$58.50 = US$43.09) so why not go. Except I'm nervous that the bands won't play the songs I know, so I won't be able to sing, and that people will judge me if I don't know all the songs😭.

So, should I go or not. Has anyone else had this experience?

Thanks for your answers in advance and have a great day✌️

Ps: It's unrelated but this is my first concert so I was also wondering if it's frowned upon to sit down during the concert. I know it's a rock concert and it's going to be lively, so I was just wondering...
