Hi guys! I bet this is known knowledge but I am a big supporter of cleaning my counter top ice making machine but it’s very hard to get back in the crevices where you need to in the machine! My hack is use a water pik! The pressure is strong enough to knock loose any grime built up in the machine and make it look new! Just wanted to share thank you!

We just invested a lot of money in a Stearns and Foster mattress and an adjustable bed base. Even though I’m not using the adjustable feature, after a few days, the mattress shifts off the base (toward the left) and is very heavy to “push“ back into place. This never happened when I had a traditional box spring. I’m beginning to regret purchasing an adjustable base. Any solutions to prevent the mattress from sliding off the base?

I’m not sure if this is the right group, but I ordered clothes and sometimes when I order clothes from a specific store they smell weird. This particular set I got still smells after I’ve washed it 3 times. What can I do? Can I put anything in the washing machine along with it to save it? I guess detergent doesn’t do enough

So basically I'm a single mother of a 2.5 year old. I have very little income so I can't afford the expensive stain remover products. I also can't afford a big wardrobe. She's too old for bibs so sometimes I just dress a tea towel around her neck when eating. Today was a baby blue hoodie with red bolonegse splattered on the sleeves. Last week it was gravy that slid down under the collar of the towel. Sometimes it's just messy hands that touch the clothing. Anyways, after an intensive wash, the clothes come out lovely but the remminents of the stains remain. So all my clean clothes look dirty. Any tips please?

If it's not healthy, any tips to improve posture would be appreciated.

In case others are annoyed with all the junk mail, I thought I'd share the resources I found to stop (most of) it:

  • Opt Out Pre Screen: Stops all the "You're pre-approved!" credit card offers for 5 years. Requires you to enter your SSN but is free.
  • DMA Choice: Pay $5 and you stop getting any junk mail from companies you don't have a relationship with for 10 years. Works for up to 5 names at one address.
  • DMA Choice for Email
  • Do not call list: Federally run list that should stop many telemarketers from calling you
  • Catalog Choice: A free service that helps you request individual solicitations stop. This usually works for the companies you've ordered from in the past which aren't stopped by DMA Choice (above)

Enjoy!

Walmart Autocenter usually did my oil changes and the very last time I got one from them…my engine locked up and my car no longer works. I’ve done everything that Walmart asks so I can file for compensation and their adjuster declined to take the case because he moved the goalpost to ask me to do MORE things. I got a lawyer and she’s telling me to comply with all they ask but it’s just draining my limited pockets even more. Does anyone know how I can get in touch with their corporate or have advice on what I can do? I really need my car, a car.

Check your health insurance, they sometimes offer memberships for workout classes and gyms. They have different tiers, I believe the cheapest one is around $25.

For example, I have the premium tier though UHC so I pay $99 per month and I get unlimited access to any YMCA, LA Fitness or any gym in their network. I also get 4 Pure barre classes, 4 Club Pilates classes, 4 Cycle bar classes, 4 Hot6 yoga classes, etc. I only mentioned places that are in my area so you can probably have more options.

I never wear a dress or stocking but I'm heading to a funeral. It's so filled with static, that the dress is sticking to my inner thighs

I wanted the best brand so I looked up the reviews and I noticed a pattern: the first five-star reviews were written so eloquently with however's and therefore's and they also covered almost every topic a person would be looking for. so I tried another product but filtered by 'critical reviews' and those sounded like regular people who tried a product then I realized...you know the online job boards that are looking for people to simply write reviews? That's who I think writes the first 100 five star reviews but filter by critical and you get to the bottom and that's when it starts soundinh like real people wrote it and not somebody who is hired to make the company money.

  1. To prevent dysentery in foreign countries, drink straight gin with every meal… the alcohol kills the germs. This one seems like it might kinda work… especially if you like gin as much as my grandma.

  2. You can get two days out of your panties by turning them inside-out for the second day. This one… I just crack up every time I remember her saying this. She was very proud that she could travel anywhere (Africa, Asia, etc) with only a carry-on and two pairs of panties (which she could get four days out of before washing them out)… but, the logic of this one is not so solid to me. 😆 None of us challenged her on it, though.

Aren't frustrating those 5-10 seconds where you feel like sneezing but it feels like "it's not enough" to actually sneeze?

Well someone told me "look at the light" and I thought it was utter nonsense... but one day I tried and I swear to god IT WORKS.

Basically when you feel like you need to sneeze you just have to look at some light source, could be natural or like a lightbulb or a high illuminated spot in general and I don't know how but 90% of the time it'll be enough to sneeze.

Save this so you can come back and tell me if I was right

Thank me later

Original Title: This one might seem silly but it's not :-) Keep used freezer bags in the refrigerator so you can use them again to throw smelly things into your trash can without stinking up your trash can and having to prematurely empty it.

Hi everyone. Not sure if this applies here but i need advice. Background- not very talkative person but im getting better at it and expressing more my opinion. Kinda still struggling but im getting there. I don’t know how to express myself the best way, so forgive me if i loose you while reading.

Overall when im talking, i sometimes get talked over for a completely different subject. It happens with friends, family and even at work. Of course when they’ve sometimes realized it, they apologize and ask me what was I saying. Thing is i have ADHD and by the time ive been asked what was the topic, in my head is long gone since my thoughts are going so fast.

Makes me feel like what im saying is not important (insert sarcastic tone) and that makes me feel oh so special 🙃 like my words are worthless and i dont matter (extra points for my depression). I dont want to be the center of attention (not my thing) but i do want people to stop people from doing this. It may sound silly but it is hurtful to me. Talked with the family and they’re trying to change

Any suggestions? Please and thank you 🤗

Drinking concentrated/reconstituted orange juice? You don't need as much as you think you do. Add a little water, it'll taste more like fresh juice.

Using tablets in your dishwasher/laundry? You don't need as much as you think you do. Use liquid - you can measure out smaller amounts.

Don't use so much toothpaste - you only need a pea-sized amount.

So many consumables lead us to think we need to use more of their product, but very often, we only actually need a smaller amount. Remember - You're awesome. 😉
