Im going to assume this is a problem on the kbin side of things since it doesn't matter which lemmy server you use to try and look at this magazine. Here are the links to show you whats going on.

As I'm not sure how to get a hold of the developers or where to direct this problem to, I thought I'd start here. So if no one has a solution, maybe you guys know where I can get this problem looked at.

EDIT: I will also add that this has been going on for as long as Ive been using the fediverse, which was about 2 weeks ago. The scheduled downtime was just a coincidence when I posted.

I registered, forgot about it and went on with stuff. Now when I click the link it redirects me to registration, I'm guessing because activation expired. In registration I can't use my email because it's already in use. I can't find any 'reactivation', password reset didn't help.

I signed up for kbin.social and it's awesome. But I'm only seeing stuff from that instance.

Hi all,

I promise I tried before posting this: I'm currently evaluating other platforms for some of the subs I help moderate. When it comes to Kbin, I can't find much information on moderation tooling for Magazines and the like. Does anyone know of such resources? Primarily, I am looking for things like:

1. Is there an automod or anything similar to it (e.g. keyword filters, 'karma' limits, etc)?
2. Is there a way to control who can post in a Magazine (e.g. mods only)?
3. Is there a way to setup user / post 'flair'?
4. Is there a Magazine wiki or anything similar?

These aren't all my questions rather just the ones that are on the top of my mind. 😅

The UI is a little hard to use on my iPad. I’m on fedia.io

In landscape mode, the top tabs for threads, people, microblogs, magazines don’t work. They don’t send an http request or change anything in the view.

When I reorient to portrait, the tabs are replaced with an expandable widget that works, but it reverts to the tabs that don’t work eventually, and I have to reorient two times to get back to the widget that works.

This is quite awkward, and I don’t think I’ll use Kbin much if I have to flip my iPad around to search for topical magazines.

Things seem to work properly on my phone and desktop, but those are not the devices I use for forums.

Now, the questions.

1. how do I tell if an issue is a Kbin issue, or an instance issue? I assume UI issues would not be instance issues, but how is a user determine where to ask questions?

2. is there a bugs or support magazine? Naive searches for kbin bugs, and kbin support don’t bring up any obviously targeted magazine.

Every time time I try to register an account, I get the link to verify my account, but if I try to log in via the link (or without it), I get told that my login information is incorrect. Tried to create a new account with a different email, but using the same username, but now it says it’s taken, which probably means that the account is activated, I just can’t use it. Also tried resetting the password (ofc), but that does not work either.
