Sorry to interrupt the misery folks, wondering if anyone would recommend a decent spot for a few pints near the Vicar Street venue?

It was an aerial photo of Ireland with a stick figure prodding it, saying “C’mon… build homes!”

Anyone know where it is? Difficult to search image posts without knowing the caption!

to the anti-social problems centered around teenagers in Dublin?

As an outsider looking in, via Reddit and other media sources, it's fucking scary. It's like the bloody wild west. Increasing numbers of groups of young people causing mayhem across the city. Fair enough if they are striking out against the system, but do so through graffiti or petty vandalism. Not going around assaulting innocent people. That's just a whole other level of fucked up.

What is their end game? What are they hoping to achieve? If it's purely for kicks, then we really need to rethink our legal system this type of behaviour is simply not acceptable.

I mean, what is the point in paying taxes when ordinary decent people can't even feel safe leaving their house?

So seriously, what's the real solution?

Heftier punishments? I'm not sure this is the solution because of the sheer amount of taxpayers money that would needed to catch, prosecute and follow up on these people, not to mention the length of time it would take and the minor affect it would have on change because these kids don't really give a fuck about the legal system.

Send the fuckers off to a boot camp on an island somewhere?

Hold the parents responsible (cut their dole)?

Give them some kind of responsibility? I know child labour is wrong but the likes of small insignificant part time jobs might help. Give them a sense of responsibility or even a realisation of what it takes to actually earn money and that it doesn't just magically appear in your bank account.

Maybe bring in a 2 year conscription to the defense forces to straighten them out? Although I'd imagine they would be just as idle and bored doing this.

Community service, not to far removed from chain gangs might be a nice one. Picking litter along the M50 would be a great sight for taxpayers.

This has become so annoying recently is there anything worse when getting on a train or bus than someone sitting beside you with headphones in having the loudest conversation for the entire journey ….

With Notre Dame vNavy match coming up this weekend and me realising that I'm working during it I went to see if I could record. Nobody showing it not even deferred coverage. A few years ago we held the European Paraswimming Championships and there was nothing in regards to coverage on Irish tv. When the Brits host sporting events they push that event to front of their tv lineup every single time. Why can't we?? It's honestly beggars belief how we convince anyone to host sporting events here when coverage isn't shite its non-existent in most cases.

And I know a random US college game isn't a major event but if we're gonna copy the Brits in being a hub for US sports in Europe can we copy what they do well please because this has to eventually hurt future bids in hosting bigger competitions.

Chatting to some Aussie boys. They have some of the best slang. What regional slang does Ireland have that should be nation wide.

Girlfriend was on way home from work yesterday evening. Whilst walking down Poolbeg street, she was surrounded by a group of teenagers who hurled verbal abuse at her. She tried to ignore it and walk on, the next thing she got hit on the head with nearly a full can of energy drink. She has a bump on her head, and her clothes were soaked. Iv asked her to make a gauda complaint but she thinks there is no point, that nothing will get done. Ireland needs to make a decision about the behaviour of their youth. How is it that a society’s youth aren’t taught that there are consequences to their actions. I’m in a really pissed mood over this. Some support from the guardi would be nice. Stay safe out there.

Lads what is wrong with people?

Went to view a house, decent but not amazing. Only a 2 bed as well and needs some updates in the kitchen/bathroom etc.

First bid is 25k over the asking price. I know everyone is desperate for housing but jesus christ does this not help with houses going for insane prices.

Honestly feel like giving up at this rate and leaving the country as it feels like i'll never have a place of my own here.
