They're a game changer for me. It makes setting up so fast and gives me like 20 extra feet of length without sacrificing space or weight.

Let me hear about your weekend hammock plans. Or anything fun you're doing this weekend. It's been raining where I live for the last 5 days, and it doesn't look like it's stopping until Sunday... maybe. Let me live vicariously through your outdoor adventures, I beg you!

This is my indoor hang setup during the winter. Just a small fleece blanket suspended from either end. I use a small tie in the middle to bundle up the ends of the blanket to create an air pocket. One one side i have a bungee cord to pick up slack and stretch out a bit for my feet.

Hey guys, is it comfortable for a side sleeper to camp in a hammock? I just cannot fall asleep while I’m on my back. Should I stick to my tent?

Whenever I’m just chilling in a hammock I felt that lying on my side took a lot of work and wasn’t very comfortable, but I’m guessing it depends on the hammock.

Falling asleep being rocked gently by the wind with the waves breaking on shore... 🤌

Hey guys, do you have any recommendations for somewhat affordable four season gear? I've been camping in -10C to -13C last winter with my Eno DoubleNest, DD Underquilt and DD superlight tarp. The setup worked fine up until -10C, but at -13C it starts feeling a bit chilly.

I've been looking at Bushmen underquilts which cost somewhere around 365€ to 400€, or Cumulus Selva which goes fro 410€ to 440€. Add a four season sleeping bag and potentially another tarp and I'm looking at >1000€ 😱

What kind of winter setup do you have?

I've hiking the JDF in British Columbia, Canada using my casual hammock (had an integrated bug net) and my own janky tarp rig for wind / rain and I loved the experience... Looking into getting something more, better designed specifically for hammock camping

Hmu with recommendations!

**Thanks everyone for the help, I ended up going with the warbonnet black bird xlc. I'm excited to see how it turns out when it arrives.

Just a first post to welcome folks. Hopefully we can get a nice little community going here. I love hammock camping and getting / tinkering with new gear. Not the cheapest hobby, but one could do worse. Anyway, welcome all.
