Scale model miniatures for dollhouses, room boxes and dioramas.
This book is long out-of-print, although used copies do not seem that hard to come by. I checked this book out from the library dozens of times in the early 90s.
The miniatures in this book are wonderful, and there are no shortcuts. She teaches how to carve sandstone for a fireplace, dip candles, solder copper for copper pans, weave baskets, and more.
Flat hand inside miniature kitchen. Hand holds a vairety of breakfast open-face sandwiches. Example, toast topped with avocado, sliced tomato, fried egg, and spices.
Breakfast tray holding 3 bananas, one partially peeled, cereal bowl with milk and fruit loops, carton of milk, spoon. Tray is messy from spilt milk and banana slices. Hand for scale.

Sweater tree at Nekocon
I’m slowly but surely rescuing my photos from the convention. I forgot I had taken this. I think this is the first proper photo I have taken of my sweater stand. I’m thinking of retiring it soon to make something a bit bigger… but we’ll see. It’s worked for me for a few years now.

Image of a miniature old fashioned white porcelain kitchen sink with plate drain surface on which is placed a metal dish drying rack, currently full of dishes and cutlery. The sink has metal legs and no cabinet--normally these would have a floor length curtain ruffle attached later by homemakers to hide cleaning supplies underneath, but this one is bare. The faucet is old fashioned with a soap dish built in. There is floral blue print on the porcelain.

Four poster spindle bed, crocheted blanket, a wind up clock on a night stand with spindle legs, old fashioned floral wallpaper, white curtains edged with white pompons, and a miniature black yorkshire terrier next to the bed. It's wearing a faded pink ribbon collar and standing on a handmade throw rug. Oh, and it looks like another terrier is on top of the bed. It's easy to miss.

An A frame dollhouse with light-colored wooden shingles and open sides showing rustic interior and two story fireplace made of river rock. In front of the fireplace is a wood and cushion combo sofa, coffee table, a club chair, and two occasional tables. The kitchen is partially obscured by a wall--just part of the fridge is showing and a chair that may be part of a dining table set. Upstairs is a pile of fireplace logs and a brass bed with a comforter and dust ruffle. The A frame is made of light colored wood, but the front glass door has forest green trim and the half glass back door in the kitchen is also painted forest green.
