I just found out this today because I just happened to open the app to check my staking. But I figure I should share this so anyone else that uses Exodus but hardly pays attention to it, they will start looking at moving it to another wallet.

The following list is from

Which assets are being sunsetted?
The following assets are scheduled to be sunsetted. See each section for more details about each sunset.

May 6, 2024: BNB Beacon Chain network sunset

* Binance Coin (BNB) on BNB Beacon Chain
* Binance USD (BUSD) on BNB Beacon Chain
* THORChain (RUNE)

Binance ends support for Binance USD (BUSD)

* Binance USD (BUSD) on all networks

July 1, 2024: Exodus ending support for certain assets

* Bitcoin Gold (BTG)
* NEM (XEM)
* Nano (XNO)
* Terra Classic (LUNC)
* Bonded Luna (bLUNA)
* TerraClassicUSD (USTC)
* Anchor Protocol (ANC)
* Vertcoin (VTC)

For the BNB stuff you should look at this

For the Rune

Basically they are being moved to another chain. But it appears Exodus isn't supporting it after May 6.

For the July 1 stuff, it just seems like a simple delisting. For Nano the team over there said when they found out

We were not notified ourselves so thank you for the messages you sent us. Having spoken with the Exodus team, unfortunately it is true that they will be delisting nano come July 1st. The reasons they have given was due to ROI on maintenance vs volume of nano - this is hard to disagree with in addition to their initial implementation of nano being incorrect (like Trust Wallet), there was a community push to move people into native wallets. Despite this being a shame as we respect the Exodus wallet as a great multi-currency experience, there are plenty more wallets in the ecosystem to choose from is you wish

On exodus on that link it says this

What if I don't move my funds?
After July 1, 2024, you will no longer be able to transact or view the balances of any of the assets that Exodus ends support for.

However, you will not lose access to your crypto.

This is because Exodus is a self-custodial wallet, you can always access the funds with your 12-word secret recovery phrase, and the private keys for those assets are generated from your secret recovery phrase. To learn more, visit: Everything you need to know about your 12-word secret recovery phrase

Keep in mind that some wallets might not support the Exodus derivation path when importing the secret recovery phrase directly into another wallet, and sometimes, only importing with a private key is supported.

While it is still possible to transact the assets with Exodus, it is recommended to either send the assets to a different wallet or swap to another asset before July 1, 2024, the date Exodus will no longer support these assets.

In my two earlier posts on r/solana I already highlighted some morally questionable practices from scamfluencers. Allow me to tell you more about this, the information in this post is from a video and conversations in the Red the mal community with Caesar (@caesars_calls on tg) . The aim of this post is to make more people aware of these horrible practices.

The Lucrative Pump-and-Dump Business:

  • Imagine a select few charging an astronomical $50,000 per person for their pump-and-dump services. Yes, you read that correctly—50 grand just to ride the volatile waves of the crypto market. 🎢
  • As if that weren't enough, they also ask 50k worth of supply per cabal member involved.

Greed Knows No Bounds:

  • These individuals redefine the term "overpaid." Their greed rivals that of dragons hoarding gold. 💰🐉
  • If there's a pot of digital gold at the end of the crypto rainbow, you can bet they've already staked their claim.

Research? Not Their Strong Suit:

  • Rigorous research? Their due diligence is at the same level of a child's scribbles on a chalkboard. 🧐
  • In their world, fundamentals take a backseat to hype.

Value Extraction, Not Addition:

  • Their contributions to the crypto space? Terrible. Imagine a black hole devouring value faster than a rug pull. 🌌
  • Investors are left bewildered and duped.

The Devs' Dilemma:

  • Devs believe they need the cabal's Midas touch. Spoiler alert: it's not Midas; it's just smoke and mirrors. 🔮
  • They preach about their own success, conveniently forgetting that most of us haven't mooned our way to Lambo land.

Poe, the Shiba Whisperer? Not So Much:

  • Remember Poe? The guy who claimed he was a Shiba whale? Turns out he's full of digital fertilizer. 🐕💩
  • His insider info? More like inside a dumpster fire.

Pump-and-Dump Maestros: Erik Stevens and Poe

  • Erik and Poe, they orchestrate pump-and-dump symphonies, leaving bagholders in their wake. 🎶
  • Their secret recipe? A pinch of greed, a dash of FOMO, and you as exit liquidity.

Cloud Chasers and Engagement Farmers:

  • Forget moonshots; they're after clouds. ☁️
  • Cultivating FOMO? Their specialty. They tend to it like prized bonsai trees.

Recycling the Same Playbook:

  • The cabal's playbook? Dog-eared and worn. They call the same plays, like a broken record. 📀
  • "Buy the dip," they chant, while secretly selling their bags.
  • Frog on Sol? Pre-Pumped and Dead in 3 Days: 🐸💀
  • Andy on BNB? Same story. RIP, projects.

Fake CTOs and Insider Plays:

  • Bul? A mere illusion of a CTO. 🙅‍♂️
  • Insider plays? They've got 'em. Like a shady poker game with 90 of their own channels they use to pump their coins while it seems like they are not behind it. ♠️

High MC Plays? Smoke and Mirrors:

  • They call high market cap plays, hoping we'll forget their pump-and-dump track record. 📈
  • Scammers always stuck together.

Conclusion: I'm trying to create awareness about this issue. The more people know this, the better! Only together we can make sure these practices don't pay put anymore.

For more in depth info watch the video I added!

Ripple CEO predicts crypto market will double in size to $5 trillion by the end of 2024

  • Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said he expects the entire value of the crypto market to double this year, citing the arrival of the first U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund and upcoming so-called bitcoin “halving.”
  • “The overall market cap of the crypto industry ... is easily predicted to to double by the end of this year ... [as it’s] impacted by all of these macro factors,” Garlinghouse said.
  • One of the other factors Garlinghouse sees pushing the crypto market to new highs is the possibility of positive regulatory momentum in the United States.

So currently 99% of MATIC's supply is circulating and as I understand the new POL token is going to have 1:1 migration of the current max supply and an additional 20% supply over 10 years, 10% will go to incentivize node operators and 10% for the development of Polygon (which basically means for the Polygon team).

So basically when Polygon created MATIC everyone agreed to a certain set of tokenomics and now the supply is going to be increased by 20%, half of which will go to the pockets of the Polygon team. What even is the point of having a max supply if you can just pretty much force everyone to migrate and make a fresh new supply?

I don't understand how this is acceptable, as I see it, it's a complete breach of trust. What if in 3 years they decide to migrate again to "rebrand" and create an additional 20% supply? What stops them from doing so?

Crypto is decentralized? yeah right.

Going to put this here since we're on the dawn of a new rally, and before everyone gets caught up in the excitement and forgets the basics, here's a few reminders:

  1. Back up your keys: If you've already lost these, move everything to a new wallet and back it up. Don't email your keys to yourself or keep them anywhere where they can be hacked into. You alone are responsible for your wallets.

  2. Keep your crypto off exchanges: Unless you're trading it, there really is no reason for you to give up your keys. Even the most 'seemingly safe' exchanges can go poof overnight. Remember FTX, Celsius, etc. That being said, you need to have step 1 in place first.

  3. Have your targets and prepare to take profits when you reach them. For example in tbe last rally, my targets for BTC were 30% of my stash at 40k, another 30% at 60k, and another 30% at 80k. We didnt get to the last one but I had cashed out more than half of my BTC and bought back in around the 25k range.

  4. You will not be able to time the exact top, you will not be able to time the exact bottom. Long as you get out higher than you get in, that's the way to do it. If you cash out at a profit and it keeps going up, that's fine. You still made a profit.

  5. Don't leverage or loan out your crypto unless you have no problem with completely losing it.

  6. You can help advise your friends and family to buy, but tell them it's their money and they are responsible for it. Don't tell people how much you own.

  7. Things will get volatile as hell. Don't panic buy and sell, plan your moves. There will be negative news. There will be positive news. Hold on and enjoy the ride.

Feel free to add anything to this list. Once things go parabolic it's good to have a few rules to remember. I did really well last rally and blew a very big chunk of it on leveraged trades, so ita a good reminder.
