Anime Galore, Keep it Pure - The Lemmy4Fun Style
Our definition of anime: a delightful mix of color and motion, crafted by a Japanese animation studio. This includes independent Japanese works, as long as they are acknowledged within the anime industry or distributed by international licensing pals. In the spirit of staying "anime specific", we welcome posts about your favorite anime or a particular anime ensemble, and situations where anime takes the spotlight.
This rule, however, keeps the spotlight away from real individuals, unless the focus is on their significant industry contributions. For major events like death, retirement (or glorious comebacks), jail-time, long vacations (hey, maternity/paternity leaves count!), or unfortunate illnesses that halt work, we'll allow one pertinent thread (no minor update sequels, please!).
Posts about Japan loaning a bit of their animation magic to other nations are totally fine. But remember, it's a one-way street. So, Korean animation fueled by Japanese aid? Not on the menu.
Launching an anime-related tool or website? Feel free to announce it here! But, please save the minor updates or "is this site down?" questions for elsewhere. Significant updates or breakdowns? We'll consider these on a case-by-case basis.
