Would you buy a car that can't be driven in the rain? Would you even buy a bicycle that you can't get wet?

It boggles my mind that ANY battery powered vehicle (containing sensitive electronics) is released/sold with poor water resistance.

I completely understand that the entire industry is still evolving, but one area of production that definitely needs to become an industry standard is water resistance.

... on the topic of weather conditions, there should also be a push for some kind of battery cooling feature (even if offered as an option). Some who live in very hot climates face serious overheating issues that can lead to melted wires and potential fires.

How many stories need to be placed on here about people scooters snapping in half before people stop recommendingg these shit scooters. I've had multiple scooters from Titan group and none of them have the issues that I constantly see posted about with Apollo. You're legit placing people at risk recommending or defending this brand, there should be no excuse what so ever for something that is ridden to snap in half mid ride.

When I first got my scooter I took off the handlebars and put an Apple Air Tag in the body and then reattached the handle bars. That way if somebody stole it I can track them.

Flash forward 6 months: I was in a bar and when I walked out my scooter had been gone! Somebody cut the built in lock. So I go on my iPhone and I track this guy and eventually catch up to him outside of a 24 hour grocery store. I reclaim my scooter and insult him for stealing it and it was the best feeling ever.

Everyone talks about spending more money on locks and what not, but I say put a tracker on your scooter! It’s worth it just for the peace of mind.

As much as I hate to admit it, I ended up crashing my first ever escooter on day one of having it. The scooter was fine, my face and leg wasn't so lucky though. Thankfully, nothing broke, face healed quite well, leg took some more time to heal, but it too ended up fine as well.

My thought process was that "hey, look how well I can drive it, I'm a natural, surely I won't crash". How dumb of me.

I now have bought an overkill full face motorcycle helmet, pads for knuckles and kneecaps, and later on will get a full on vest with padding all over it.

You live and you learn I guess...

After completing my Vsett 10+ build with basically everything upgraded, I still regularly come back to my MAX G30 for commuting and daily use. Having owned a Mantis 10 for 2500km, and some other scooters, I think I honestly prefer smaller, lighter scooters like the MAX, Xiaomi Pro, etc.

With something as big as the Vsett 10+, you basically need to treat it as a small motorcycle in terms of driving, which is difficult here, especially since you shouldn't be faster than 25km/h. With a smaller scooter I don't necessarily look out of place on a bikepath for example, and with a 40km/h top speed (SH firmware) it still is about as fast as you can go in the city. It also "looks" like a normal scooter to anyone not in the know. Even non-scooter people recognize the Vsett as a "fast/lillegal scooter".

Of course, for longer trips (10km+), I prefer the Vsett, especially because of the wider tires, suspension, and higher speed/power. But even if, that's a hobby/weekend thing.

A scooter the size of the G30 with the Vsett's performance and suspension would be an ideal setup I think. Small, light, and still fast. Something like this, but less overkill.

What do you think? Anyone else had both kinds and wants to share their experience?

I am just sharing one more experience here as I should have listened to other posts, but hopefully this post can reach out to whoever it needs to so you don't buy this brand.

I recently bought their Gotrax Flex Campus scooter, one week after use and the throttle is broken. I reached out to support and they first promised to help and send a box to ship it back, then they ghosted me for a week never sending a return label or a box.

After trying to reach out multiple times they finally sent me a return label, and they are now saying they cannot send a box for me, not even home depot has 50 in long boxes, and their support is like "It's not our responsibility, we sent that label and that is it".

Terrible support experience with the agent I last talked with, and it's just frustrating that they promised a box and speedy replies and they did not accomplished any of those.

So, I ordered a Wolf Warrior X Pro and…they sent me a Wolf King GT. Didn’t really want a scooter this big, but should I just STFU and enjoy the blessing of a beastly scooter that’s basically double the price?

We all know how reliable Ninebot Max/G30 is but it lacks a bit of power and range. Original batteries are probably something like 60 x 2600mAh, but there have been 3500mAh for ages with same 18650 form. This change alone would give about 33% more range. If they would ditch internal charger which is just for convenience and surely not needed anymore with increased range, there would be enough space to fit about double capacity compared to original with those 3500mAh batteries. Weight increase would be minimal because internal charger is gone. Maybe 1-2 kg at most. Then there would be truly enough juice to give a more powerful motor for hills something like what G2 has.

Do you think that they would ever do this to keep good portability and reliability or is the trend that everything is overdone and overpriced, if you want more than 500Wh battery capacity which can drive an adult about 40 km at 25 km/h in typical conditions .

I'm mostly worried about theft, naturally. I am leaving shared rides and trying a month to ment rental. If I can't bring my scooter inside what kind of lock should I get?
