The fucking side picking on this, and the principles so called progressives and even leftist (being openly welcomed to the tankie side, I guess) are willing to throw out the window just to defend an openly oppressive and abusive state simply because it is "anti-American", as if both aren't pulling the same shit in slightly different variations, is doing my fucking head in.
What will it take for people to realise all states exist to oppress and control the working class for the benefit of the ruling one, no matter who it theoretically opposes? (not a social media fad, that's for fucking sure)

This is a good point. Even if it is spyware, all things being equal surely more interaction between Chinese and American people is a good thing right? We have more in common than not ultimately.

Its kind of a choose which rules you want. You have to agree with the hivemind but you can choose which one. At least this exposes the communities to each other to mix ideas. While i hate .ml they do have some stuff that is good.

RedNote ToS includes provisions that require you to post "correct views on history, nationality, state, or culture".

But wtf? Censorship isn't when someone prevents unhinged personal attacks? Why is "free speech" not the ability to report on corruption, but now about being able to use hate speech and shit? It's never been the case and not hard to differentiate between them
