So im currently using a ledger nano s for storing my BTC stash

After research and tip offs, it seems out of quite a few different HWW, ledger seems to be one of the least trusted, mainly due to their lack of open source software.

I'm now looking into upgrading to either coldcard, or Trezor. I don't intent just to use it for BTC, but some top altcoins like Solana.

My question is out of the two, which HWW is more universal in terms of coins, and user friendly. Has anyone used both coldcard and trezor, and are able to give me their opinions? Most likely looking at a Trezor safe 5
