New mobo won't detect all 8 shucked drives (zerobytes.monster)

I've tried removing 3.3v wire, using old same power supply when it worked. Tried molex to sata, used same connectors from prior mobo. Nothing will power up these drives and recognize in bios/windows. If I try and old SSD same wires works fine. Mobo is Asus x570-plus wifi. I don't get it. Edit: oh man even old mobo won't power them i don't understand.
