The amount of resources being used to find the murderer of a CEO really show how certain lives matter more than others.

If the victim was an immigrant, or a minority in a low-income neighborhood, you can bet there won't be drones spread citywide nor non-stop media attention.

@[email protected] There has been another murder the same day in Manhattan, an undocumented person was stabbed by a white dude for not speaking english it barely hit the news:

RIP, Yeremi Colino, and solidarity with migrants everywhere.

@[email protected] So much this. I said the same thing yesterday. The little people's lives don't matter much according to the system.

@[email protected] absolutely, the rich need to make an example of this guy because the masses see a hero. Even if he's never found they'll claim he was and "shot down" so they can keep up the facade of control. Him going to trial would not benefit the oligarchs because he'd only gain more supporters. We'll see how this unfolds, but we need more vigilantes like this.

@[email protected] the guy should have just stolen a truckload of secret documents, attempted a deadly coup, and engaged in massive tax fraud, because then there’d be no consequences.

Yes. If this CEO died in a tent in Gaza, you can guarantee he'd be just a statistic.

@JeffreySmith Don't even have to go that far. A murder in a tent in the Bronx would be as inconsequential.

True. In the case of the Gaza murder, though, the government would hand the murderer another gun with some bullets.

@[email protected] i was thinking the same when i saw the BBC report how 'there are rarely shootings in that part of town'. I hope they never find him.

@[email protected] Rich people matter more than poor people and the police are their protection racket.

@ncoca same thing with the guy who drowned in the yacht.
Unfortunately, they would say that his death has impacted on jobs, shares.
Fuck this system.

@[email protected] Yep. NY Times did an entire multimedia investigation into how that yacht sank. Meanwhile, when 150+ #Rohingya refugees drowned a few weekslater...barely any attention and no investigations.
