Really hard to just pick a couple of articles as there's so much good stuff in this issue, but I'll try to select some really interesting things.

First up is the preview for Picross 3D on Nintendo DS from Official Nintendo Magazine 42 - May 2009 (UK)

If you never played this game, seriously, teach out a copy!
If you've never played a Picross game, grab one of the dozen that are on Switch right now, you'll thank me later... or curse me because it's so addictive... 😅

Picross 3D is such a gem! It's a shame they never bothered to make another one after round 2, but this is a good time to shill for Voxelgram which is basically the same thing made by a fan: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1158470/Voxelgram/

Picross 3D and Rhythm Tengoku are two of the series I miss the most this generation.

@[email protected] Probably my favourite DS game… and better than its sequel. So much character in those reward animations.

Much how people tend to say that Tetris a a perfect game (and I agree with that sentiment), I will happily say the same thing about Picross 3D.
I wouldn’t even know where to begin if someone asked me to improve upon it in any way.
