@[email protected] I will call all expats immigrants and will die on the hill calling expats immigrants.

@[email protected] you are not wrong but immigrants actually contribute to the economy and live in the society and not some enclave with rm25 beers XD
@[email protected] @[email protected] So what are you suggesting? Cheaper beer prices?
@[email protected] Sadly a British guy who taught me when I was in Scotland, and came to Malaysia to work and married a Malay lady in the 90s suddenly became a raging Brexit supporter in recent years totally unaware of the optics of him being here and ranting about immigrants in the UK.
Yeah, I was super disappointed.
@[email protected] oh that's a pretty common thing I find. If you're a bootstrapper enough to be an economic migrant (rather than a political refugee) it's quite likely that you develop economic conservatism (social conservatism would also already be in place too). Survivor fallacy and all that. Even the latest US elections had this in spades.
@[email protected] it deserves some thoughts at least 😂
@[email protected] as long as the conclusion is "noooo!!!" 🤣
@[email protected] Sounds like we need you to step up to the plate 😋 , you feel like writing a blog post "X reasons why you shouldn't consider MY as your expat destination" ? - your humble contribution at attempting to stem the tide, so to speak...
@[email protected] I just need to emphasize all the bits that trigger the Islamophobia and anti-Asian racism.... HMMMM!!!!
