The first flush stopped with two pingpong sized fuzzy balls, after low oxy, high temperature thanks to a record summer.

This is the second flush. Probably got too moist and a bit too warm again because of a late heatwave. Any other guesses on why its so deformed?

Will make some battered wings from this :)

It's Lion's Mane. Home grown from syringe into unused beer malts, bulked on nothing but hard wood fuel pellets.

The first flush was tiny and bitter so i was surprised by this second one :)

May have kept them too wet, too warm or high co2 which all can cause this irregular growth from what I understand.

Ah very cool. I had a suspicion it was lion's mane but I wasn't sure. I'm starting to get a handle on oysters, and LM is something I want to try next.
