TLDR:

Return rates have increased substantially, but not quite to the level they'd hoped. Injury rates aren't public yet, but they seem lower. Expect return rates to increase a bit more in the second half of the season.

New kickoff rules expire after this season, hopefully they reinstate them plus shift touch backs to the 35 from the 30 to further incentivize returns.
