And nothing of value was lost

It was such a bad show. Old jokes rehashed, jokes involving -hey, you are from the original show, or just bad attempts at -well you are old- jokes. Plus everyone felt like a stereotype. Stop making all gay characters just sassy, they have other attributes.

Am I having deja vu? I swear this happened years ago.

You're probably thinking of That 80s Show, which also was cancelled very quickly

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago (1 children)

If 80s show had been a hit, we never would have gotten It's always Sunny in Philadelphia

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago

It's Always Sunny is much more appropriate for the timeline we wound up in

This can only mean one thing. That 2000's slated for 2025 release.

You are correct

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 month ago

Right? Didn’t even realize this was still even a thing after season 1.

They should've been given a season to wrap shit up with a Y2k episode and then end the whole thing with a family trip to see the WTC on 9/11

I'm only sad that there will be no more Kitty, Red & Donna. The series was quite meh. Someone needed a foot up their ass.

I loved Red ever since I saw him blow off a man's hand with a shotgun blast, in Robocop. Is he a bad guy now? Do we cancel him?

Did Topher Grace do something shitty as well?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Not that I know of. There were 'rumors' that he was a diva on set but it sounded made up like all the other Hollywood gossip trash. He was in the first season of That 90's Show.

Looking forward to the eventual attempt at a 'That '00s Show' in a few years

It wasn’t a great show, but the last season seemed to be settling into the swing of things. Disappointed that this is the end this - this show filled a nostalgic void in my life. Keyword says they’re gonna try to shop the show but I’d be surprised to see anyone pick it up at this point..

Season 3 aka season 2 part 2 was the only season directed by Laura Prepon (Donna) and it was the only season that felt true to the original series.

I think if they'd started with Prepon, it would've been more successful.

It boggles my mind that people rely on Netflix for anything except disappointment. Over the past two years the only things I've watched on there have been like Leave The World Behind, Arcane, Wednesday, Glass Onion, The Gray Man, and Red Notice. I don't care about Wednesday so once Arcane is over I'll only ever use it for their cheesy action movies.

That translates to a two-season run

You don't say.
