To debunk denialism of the Gaza death toll, all you need to do is point out that when we get them, the IDF casualty estimates very closely track with Gaza Health Ministry estimates. Since both of the opposing parties roughly agree on the death toll, it is likely a fairly accurate figure.

Israel are always saying that Hamas numbers are fake. Due to the collapse of the health system it's impossible to have accurate numbers

Official source? I haven't checked in a long time, but it's been awhile since I've seen any official source call the Health Ministry numbers into question. Back when they were around 30k or so, it was largely agreed on by the IDF.

"The miraculous resurrection of the dead in Gaza," Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz wrote in a May 13 X post. "The @UN had reduced its estimate of women and children killed in Gaza by 50% and claims that it relied on data from the Hamas Ministry of Health. Anyone who relies on fake data from a terrorist organization in order to promote blood libels against Israel is antisemitic and supports terrorism."

Another May 13 Instagram post said, "The UN quietly admitted the casualty numbers in Gaza were OVER INFLATED by nearly half." https://www.politifact.com/article/2024/may/24/the-un-adjusted-its-gaza-fatality-reporting-heres/

Yeah, that's just the ratios of age and sex for the casualties. He wasn't denying the 35k (at the time) death toll.

In those two statements they never indicated that they are talking about non combattant death being inflated and what the UN meant was that they reduced the numbers because many death couldn't be identified by names rather than that those people who was removed was omitted because they was rather combatants

Dude just sits there for 45 minutes making general comparisons and leaping to his own conclusions. Not a serious video.

Like because one other war has fewer civilian casualties, Israel is therefore targeting civilians in purpose. That conclusion doesn't follow.

Dude doesn't even mention martyrdom culture or Hamas doing things like spreading misinfo that the evacuation warnings, phone calls, and texts from the IDF were hoaxes. Makes no mention of why the civilian casualties are so much higher in Gaza as opposed to other conflicts.

Those other conflicts didn't have Hamas building hundreds of miles of tunnels under every population center, didn't have Hamas encouraging families to live above the tunnels to protect them. That's why the civilian death toll in Gaza is so high.

There's dozens of genocidal statements by israelis government knesset members and yet you have the audacity to blame all the civilians dead on Hamas only. Do you know that Russia use the same human shield excuse to target civilians?
