Thought it might be useful to bring in the YouTube channel of Steve Ramsey (Woodworking for Mere Mortals), and quite possibly also Rex Kruger (more focused on hand tools than Steve, but still beginner friendly with some "from scratch" tutorials to start woodworking)

I encourage people to reply to me with other YouTube channels or videos they found to be useful for beginner woodworkers to look at and learn from.

The Kreg Quick-Flip was a game changer for me. It’s currently $15, but sometimes is on sale for $10. One nice extra about it is that you can change the bit from the included square for pocket-hole screws to any other kind. I switched to a Phillips bit to put the casters on my recent bench that was otherwise done with square head screws.

Edit: Looks like DeWalt has the same thing for about the same price.

I'm planning on doing some lidded boxes later on, and I also want to try to make the hinges my self.

I found some time ago a page with good, clear images of different hinge types. Being able to download them for one's personal archive is also a plus.
