Farrell's response regarding this incident doesn't make sense.

If he was purely interested in how long the issuance of the permits would take, why not call the DBI directly instead of Mayor Breed's office?

I'm not familiar with that governmental agency, but how long does it take to get a human being on the phone, and then how long does it take to get a human being who can actually answer your question?

The San Francisco DBI has been corrupt for decades, so it makes sense he’d have to call in a favor to get any work done by DBI.
