Morbid post here but something that I do think about from time to time. I have never really understood why I collect things to be honest, after all the things themselves don't care where they are or if they exist or not. But I do feel responsible for them.
I don't have children nor do I plan to have them at the age of 45. I suppose if I did, I would plan to hand my games & consoles over. I'm considering drafting a will (again, morbid post warning) so it can be made clear what I want done my games and other things (like my G1 Transformers comics collection)
Most lately I have been thinking of donating to a museum or a YouTube channel like RMC where I think the collection would be appreciated and kept safe. I think if I were to sell off my games while still being around it would make me really sad, and also none of us know exactly how long we have and I imogine still wanting to play games as an old man.
Does anyone else have these thoughts and if so I would be interested to know what plans you would have for your collections.
